The next meeting of the Ottawa Pipe Club will take place on Sunday, May 26th at 1:00 pm at 86 Kayenta Street in Stittsville. The meeting runs from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. There will be a few munchies and beverages.

But that’s not all!!

At the upcoming meeting we’ll be cracking open a slightly aged tin of Brown Sugar (B.S.) Flake!!

The tin comes from The Danish Pipe Shop and was purchased back in 2020. This will be a fun time for everyone to try a little bowl or two of this rare to Canada pipe tobacco blend.

Last month we received some information from the Danish Pipe Shop regarding the discontinuation of this blend:

B.S. Flake formerly known as Brown Sugar Flake will be discontinued!

After a long negation with Samuel Gawith we must sadly accept that they will no longer produce B.S. Flake for The Danish Pipe Shop.

Samuel Gawith will no longer do “shop blends” and a solution where it became a part of their standard sortiment was neither attractive or possible for The Danish Pipe Shop. This means our current stock of B.S Flake made by Samuel Gawith will be the last.

Such a sad end for some pipers who have come to love this tobacco. Don’t miss out on trying out a good sample of this blend for yourself!
